SIRS supply high quality aircraft compasses to over 85% of the worldwide aviation market and trade directly with over 150 countries. For product support, SIRS’ operating hours are 7am – 5pm GMT and an out of hours AOG service is available for urgent enquiries, this will provide a response within 8 hours.

Component Maintenance Manuals – CMMs
SIRS provide CMMs for use by aircraft operators for all products manufactured. CMMs provide specific information for compass operation, troubleshooting and available spares.
The CMMs are free of charge for airline operators. Should you wish to obtain a CMM please enquire by email to our Sales department. Details of the latest CMM revisions are provided in the table below.

Maintenance
Spares and Distributors
SIRS supply spares for most compasses manufactured by ourselves. A list of available spares for each model is shown within the table below. The spares provided are only for easily detachable components and do not relate to detailed repair (See section: Overhaul repair).
All spares are available direct from SIRS Navigation UK. SIRS also work with approved partner distributors to provide compasses and spares in regions which may be closer to customer locations. SIRS’ approved Partners are shown in the spares table;
All compasses are available to purchase as Spares, however a list of spare components and their application is available in the table below.

Overhaul and Repair
SIRS’ policy for product support concerning Repair and overhaul has been devised to provide:
- Efficient service
- Quick replacement of faulty products
- Low carbon footprint for transportation
- Low cost
- High customer satisfaction
- Product Safety
Regulations concerning flight safety and the need to have sufficient resource for product repair by third parties has resulted in the withdrawal of use of external repair agents.
SIRS now work directly with our customers to provide a fast response to resolve any issue with the provision of replacement compasses; this is our preferred and most efficient route. The process of support is detailed below:
Products within Warranty
- Advise SIRS of Problem (Contact Form);
- Product will either be repaired at SIRS or replaced with a new product;
- SIRS will assess each case and provide a customised solution for our Customer to minimise delay or disruption to operation.
Products outside Warranty
- Advise SIRS of the Problem (Contact Form);
- SIRS will make contact to discuss options for fast replacement.

Peace of mind
Warranty
SIRS’ comprehensive compass warranty policy is designed to provide peace of mind for Customers when they purchase a new compass.
SIRS’ warranty period for all standby compasses is 36 months from the date of invoice. Within this period, compasses are eligible for repair or replacement provided the issue experienced is due to faulty workmanship. Our warranty policy is available within Document SQD-02.
